Face Painting

The Fun is in the Face Painting

Face painting is suitable for adults and children aged 3 years and over. Under 3’s have much more sensitive skin compared to an adults and it is advised that they are not painted. (however I can offer the younger ones a small design on their hand or arm at my discretion to keep away any tears.)

Please do not force your child to be painted if they really are uneasy or unwilling – face painting should be an enjoyable experience for both the child and the parent, and myself!

I will refrain to paint anyone who is obviously unwell (runny nose/temperature/rash) or has any other visible skin complaint (eczema; chicken pox; acne; cold sore; open wounds; eye infections etc)
I will also not paint anyone against their wishes, this may result in stopping painting before the final result if a child becomes uncomfortable or changes their mind.. But that’s what baby wipes are for!

If you have been kind enough to let me take your photo, or your child’s photo at an event,
you are therefore agreeing that the photo taken can be used on any future marketing material and websites I may use for promotion of my business because you looked Awesome! High Five!

Adult Face Painting

I know that sometimes big kids want their faces painted too! If you want a face painter for your hen party, halloween or wedding, please get in touch. You can also see my gallery on the home page for some examples of the adult face painting I have done.

The Face Paints I Use

Not only do you want your facepaint to be fun, bright and colourful, but you also want to make sure that its safe to use on your skin. That is one of the main reasons I use Grimas and Diamond FX face paints. They are specially formulated to be gentle on the skin and fragrance free.

Some people have a reaction to any brand of face paint, even if it is the safest form of paint to use. To avoid this happening, or if you are unsure whether yourself or your child would have an allergic reaction, I can use the inside of your forearm as a small test area to save the risk of damaging facial skin. This is aimed more towards younger children as their skin is more sensitive than that of an adults.

Baby wipes or any other non perfumed wipes that aren’t harsh on the skin can remove face paint easily should you need to, I will always have a pack with me for such occasions.

The advantages of using Grimas or Diamond FX is that they are:

Non toxic– All Grimas/Diamond FX face paints are manufactured using only ingredients fully compliant with EU & FDA toy and cosmetic regulations.

Skin Friendly– Grimas/Diamond FX face paints are specially formulated to be friendly to the most delicate skin and are fragrance free.

Washable- Grimas/Diamond FX face paints are all water based. This makes them easy to get off as they are to put on. Simply remove with soap and warm water; there is no need for scrubbing or harsh removers. Please remember that due to the high pigment contents some colours may stain fabric.

Colourful– Face painting is all about looking good and having fun. Grimas/Diamond FX face paints have a great variety of colours that go on easily and dry quickly.

Sponges and brushes are regularly cleaned, and every few months new stock is purchased and older stock is thrown away.
